B.Sc Nursing — Educational Qualifications

Please review the eligibility criteria carefully before submitting your enquiry. All conditions are as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).

Age Requirement

The minimum age is 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. There is no upper age limit for the B.Sc Nursing programme.

Academic Eligibility

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Biology with a minimum of 45% in PCB combined and passed in English individually. NIOS / State Open School students with Science and English are also eligible.

Admission Quota

Management Quota: Allotted by Private Professional College Association (TN) based on cut-off marks. Government Quota: Selected by the Additional Director / Director of Medical Education, Chennai, based on cut-off and community quota.

Seat Reservation Details

Reservation of seats for SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PH candidates is applicable as per Central Govt. / State Govt. policies for the college concerned.

Disability Reservation — Committee & Process
  • 5% disability reservation is applicable for candidates with loco-motor disability of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity.
  • A committee comprising a Medical Officer authorised by the State Government Medical Board and an expert panel shall determine whether the candidate meets the disability criteria.
  • All other eligibility criteria for PH candidates shall remain the same as prescribed for General Category candidates.
  • The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years for disabled candidates. Reservation shall be applicable only within the sanctioned number of seats.
