The Disciplinary Committee of Sengunthar Nursing College is constituted to maintain discipline, decorum, and ethical standards among students in accordance with the policies of the institution and the guidelines prescribed by statutory authorities.

The committee actively monitors student conduct within the campus, classrooms, clinical postings, hostel premises, and public areas associated with the institution. It aims to create a healthy academic atmosphere by encouraging responsible behaviour, punctuality, respect towards faculty and peers, and adherence to institutional rules and regulations.

The committee works closely with faculty members, wardens, counsellors, and student representatives to address disciplinary concerns promptly and effectively.

Rules, Responsibilities & Conduct Expectations

  • 📘 Students must maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and proper academic discipline in all classes, clinical postings, and institutional activities.
  • 🤝 Respectful behaviour towards faculty members, staff, patients, and fellow students is mandatory within and outside the campus.
  • 📵 Use of mobile phones or electronic gadgets during class hours, clinical duty, or examinations is strictly prohibited unless permitted.
  • 🏥 Students must follow hospital ethics, patient confidentiality, dress code, and professional conduct during clinical training.
  • 🚫 Any form of violence, bullying, substance abuse, malpractice, harassment, or damage to institutional property will invite strict disciplinary action.
  • 📋 Violation of institutional rules may lead to warning notices, suspension, parent counselling, or other actions as decided by the committee.
